PHORLIX Classic is a modernization of OsiriX-OS, the open-source edition in the OsiriX family. It preserves the classic OsiriX workflow while adapting the application for modern macOS and Apple silicon.
PHORLIX Classic has no direct code relationship to the PHORLIX series. However, OsiriX-OS was one of the ideas that inspired PHORLIX, and this project preserves that starting point as a dedicated classic edition.
The application provides DICOM viewing and processing features, including 2D visualization, 3D visualization, volume rendering, and image processing based on open-source components such as DCMTK, VTK, ITK, and OpenJPEG.
